Zoya Summer 2014 Bubbly Collection with Swatches

Press Sample

Today I have a FABULOUS set of polishes to show you guys. This is the new Zoya Bubbly Summer 2014 Collection, and it is beyond mind blowing. Easily this is my favorite polish for this year so far.  I will warn you ahead of time this post is going to be very very picture heavy lol.

HARPER:

This was a great formula and went on super easy, and was actually FUN FUN to apply. All the polishes in the collection, including this one, have gold micro glitters and a slightly larger holographic glitter. They are also smooth to the touch once top coat is applied. This was 3 coats and is the perfect 'BARBIE' pink, and I love it! The nice thing about this polish is if you want a lighter look (more sheer) just apply 2 coats instead and it gives the polish a whole new look.

BINX:

This polish has the same formula and glitters as the last polish, and the  color is so unique. It is hard to describe, but I'm going with a blush wine color. Pretty pretty and I love the way the gold shines through in this one.

JESY:

This is an amazing color, It's easy to just call this one orange and move on, but it is so much more complex than that. Above is 3 coats, but at 2 coats it almost look like a creamsicle color (similar to Cole from the Spring Awaken collection). In other lights I wanted to call it peach, and once 3 coats went on it took on an bolder look. This is a fabulous color all around for the summer. It too has the gold micro glitters and the larger holographic glitter.

ALMA:

HOLY MOLY!!!! This color is CRAZY beautiful. This is like grabbing the sun and holding it in your hand with 3 coats of awesome. I LOVE this color and it is my favorite of the entire collection. If you want something unique and fun for the summer, look no further. There isn't much else to say about this polish because the picture says it all....CAN YOU SAY JAW DROPPING!!!!

STASSI:

This polish is another beautiful one (did I say this was the best collection ever yet?).  What I love about the Holo glitters in this one is they pull blue. Can you see the blue?? It's not too hard to spot. There is nothing HIDDEN about the glitters in this polish, or any of the other. I also love the gold micro glitters.

MUSE:

To wrap up the collection we have this final beauty. What I love about this one is the Holo glitters pull green and the gold micro glitters just balance things off perfectly. I currently have this on (and I do not want to take it off ,lol). I wore this to a Mary Kay party last night and ever single girl oweeed and ahhhed at it. It was a show stopper to say the least. This is 3 coats of gorgeous that I will be leaving on my Nails for the weekend. You can't make me take it off - hehehehe.

AS A BONUS I DID A YOUTUBE VIDEO ON THEM TOO:

EXTRA BONUS (LOL): Some Random Shots...

If you do not own this collection I just you RUN and not walk to the Zoya website and grab yourself the best polishes ever. I originally loved the Pixies as my all time favorites, but these little beauties pushed them aside.  What are thoughts on these, I would love to know. Leave your comments below!

Zoya Monet Top Coat Swatches

Press Sample MONET
Purchased by Me KELLY & DIANA

Tonight I wanted to give the new MONET Top Coat from Zoya a try. It's a Spring 2014 release. It is a beautiful flakie Top Coat that really catches the eye. The glitters are Holographic and give off an array of wonderful colors. I layered it over two of my favorite Zoya Polishes, Kelly and Diana. Favorite = Me and my husband's names lol.

The polish was really thick for me, so I did have to thin it out some (about 4 drops of nail polish thinner), and once I did that it was easy to apply. I thin ALL of my glitter polishes like this one, for me it is a necessity to do so. Glitters are infamous for being thick and sometimes difficult to apply, and I have found the key to be a little bit of thinner. I also used a dabbing motion to apply the glitters randomly onto the nail, no brushing motions as it will just make a mess. I was pleased to see that the glitters did not having any curling and sat very flat on the nail. It is super pretty and a really nice touch to spruce of any creme nail polish. I say A+ on this one.

I applied the Top Cat to my middle and ring finger, my index and pinky finger have just the base polish so you can see with and without the Top Coat.

Here is is on ZOYA KELLY...

Here it is on ZOYA DIANA...

Thanks so much for visiting and stay tuned for more swatches!

Zoya Spring 2014 Awaken Collection Swatches

Press Sample

Today I have the Zoya Spring 2014 Awaken Collection. I am on a mad dash to try and swatch everything as quickly as I can for Spring, before the Spring is over. I also have several Summer swatches upcoming too, but have no fear they will all be done by the end of this week. The next collection will be up on this blog tomorrow, so make sure you come back for more...

(NOTE: all swatches are using Barielle's Hydrating Ridge Filler as a base coat)

TOP LEFT - COLE: This is a gorgeous very pal creamsicle color. The formula on this was not the greatest for me. I had to thin this polish A LOT (around 8 drops of thinner were added)! and had to let the bottle sit some to allow the thinner to settle in. I had to really work with it to not get streaking, but by the third coat it did level out. I used Seche Vite for a top coat to assist in smoothing things out. It really is beautiful, but it does take a little elbow greese to get it right, in the end the results are beautiful and worth it!

TOP CENTER - DOT: This polish is a very delicate soft pink that I LOVE. The formula on this one was perfect and no thinner was required. It went on very smooth and didn't give me any issues. This is three coats and I used Seche Vite as a Top Coat. This is the perfect delicate pink and I love how it looked on my pale skin.

TOP RIGHT - BROOKLYN: This is a a very frosty shimmery gold color and it is GORGEOUS, but unfortunately the formula was TERRIBLE (and I'm being nice lol). I will honestly say this is my least favorite Zoya ever of all time, and I own hundreds of Zoya polish. It was THICK and extremely streaky and frosty. I battled with it for a while and I finally gave in and left it be as is. NO LIKEY for me on this one. This is 3 coats with no top coat.

BOTTOM LEFT - DILLION: This is a really pretty greenish blue color. It leans more on the green side, but still has blue as well. This one was slightly thick and I did have thin it but nly slightly (about 3 drops). I used 3 coats and no top coat.

BOTTOM MIDDLE - REBEL: A really prefect blue. The formula was great on this one and required no thinning. This was the best formula of the entire collection. This reminds me of the pixies visually, but with a smooth surface. So if you really look the look of the textured and glitter polishes, but need smoothness on your nails (no texture feel) this is a perfect solution.  I can not say enough great things on this one. This is 3 coats with no top coat.

BOTTOM RIGHT - HUDSON: This is the same texture and formula as Rebel above. PERFECT PERFECT. This is my favorite color and formula of the entire collection. If you can only pick one polish in this collection I would go with this or Rebel. I wish they had made Brooklyn this formula instead of the frosty nightmare it was. This is 3 coats with no top coat.

Thanks so much for visiting today :) See you again soon. PS let me know your thought and if you own any of these I would love to know what your thoughts are, leave the in the comments below.

Barielle Spring 2014 Vibrants Collection

Press Sample

Hi Guys,

Long time no see! I know it's been a long while since I have been here, but I kind of lost control of the daily grind that I was originally following. My schedule has recently changed and I am much more available and I want to start posting more again, so here I am :) I have swatches of the Barielle Spring 2014 Vibrants Collection...
,
PLEASE NOTE: I usually take pride in super sharp clear cuticle pics, but on these I didn't allow my camera to focus on my cuticles on purpose. They are a TRUE HOT MESS *don't look* lol. I haven't done this in awhile and need to seriously bring my cuticles back to looking good first before I attempt macro focus on them again.

TOP ROW LEFT - FIRST CLASS TICKET:  This is a really pretty sky blue color. The formula on this color is excellent and goes on very smooth and you can get away with 2 coats on this polish. No real issues with this one.

TOP ROW CENTER - MONEY TALKS: This color is a really pretty mint color. This formula was a lot more fussy for me. I did have to thin this one as well (4 drops of thinner) and it acted like your typical mint polish of streaky until coat 3. Note that the first few coats actually look matte, but gets glossy as you layer.

TOP ROW RIGHT - DESIGNER'S SHOE: This one is a gorgeous dusty purple and my favorite of the collection. It goes on pretty smooth, but I did have to thin it a bit. It takes 3 coats, but it's so worth it. I love this color and is different from all the other purples I have.

BOTTOM ROW LEFT - FIRE ME UP: This is a gorgeous Blazing Fire Orange color. The formula on this one was perfect and only takes 2 coats. NO complaints at all on this one.

BOTTOM ROW CENTER - MY CITY APARTMENT: A really pretty Grey color with Blue undertones, that I'm really loving. This formula was fussy with me as well, and I did have to thin it to cut down on the streaking. It required 3 coats, but again very worth it.

BOTTOM ROW RIGHT - TAKE ME SHOPPING: Love the name on this one lol. The formula is perfect on this color and goes on smooth and glossy. This one only requires 2 coats and it's a very pretty bright reddish pink (more on the red side).

STAY TUNED FOR BARIELLE'S SPRING 2014 VELVET'S
